Water leak reported on Research Forest

The San Jacinto River Authority has reported to The Woodlands Township that a Woodlands Division 16-inch distribution waterline has developed a leak (possibly in multiple locations) along Research Forest just west of the Bear Branch bridge. Both Woodlands and GRP teams are onsite working on resolution. Further, as part of their initial investigation, a valve was closed which disrupted services to residents and businesses in the area, including The Woodlands High School. The valve has since been opened and service has been restored to the High School. Repairs are underway, and Woodlands Operations are in the process of determining how to best isolate the area. It appears the only customers that will be affected are the soccer field and the recreation center. WJPA has made the phone calls to them.

Please contact the San Jacinto River Authority at 936-588-1662 for further information.
