Regular pool season officially begins in The Woodlands: Splash into Summer!

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (May 30, 2014) – Regular pool season officially begins on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at The Woodlands Township’s community pools. The Shadowbend Pool is under construction and opening is anticipated to be July 1, 2014. For more information about the hours of operation for all pools, please visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/pools. Each pool is closed one day a week for training and routine maintenance.

Interested in a pool pass to get you through the hot, Texas summer?
To renew a Season Pool Pass or purchase a new pass:
• Visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/pools,
• Drop in at any of the community pools,
• Call 281-210-3950,
• Stop by The Woodlands Township Recreation Center (address below), or
• Go Online!

For NEW Season Pool Passes, pictures must be taken at The Woodlands Township Recreation Center (5310 Research Forest Drive) within one week of purchasing your new pass. Hours of Operation are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Season Pool Pass forms are also available on the Township website.The Splash! brochure is a guide to The Woodlands Township community pools and splash pads which outlines the unique features and operations schedule of each facility. Splash! brochures are available at each pool, The Woodlands Recreation Center, The Woodlands Township Town Hall, The Woodlands Homefinder Center and The Woodlands Parks, Recreation and Environmental Service Department buildings.

The Summer Action Guide is a guide to the programs offered at The Woodlands Township community pools as well as at The Woodlands Recreation Center. Summer Action Guides are available at each pool, The Woodlands Recreation Center, The Woodlands Township Town Hall, The Woodlands Homefinder Center and The Woodlands Parks, Recreation and Environmental Service Department buildings.

Resident Season Pass Fees

• 0 – 2 years: $6/person
• 3 – 64 years: $40/person
• 65 years and older: $15/person
• Additional family passes (more than 4): $15/person

Non-Resident Season Pass Fees (no additional family or senior discounts)
• 0 - 2 years: $30/person
• 3 years and older: $120/person

Punch Cards
• Resident Punch Cards accepted at 13 pools, excluding Rob Fleming Aquatic Center (six visits): $30 (white card)
• Resident Rob Fleming Aquatic Center Punch Card (six visits): $40 (orange card)
• Non-Resident Rob Fleming Aquatic Center Punch Card (six visits): $55 (blue card)

Day Care/Group Rate• All pools (except Rob Fleming): $4

• Rob Fleming: $7
• Group reservation procedures can be found on The Township website

Party pavilions are also available for rent at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center (the River’s Edge Pavilion) and Shadowbend pool (the Shadowbend Pool Pavilion). See The Woodlands Township website for details.

Lastly, don’t forget to take advantage of the Voyager Pass. A very special offer available for purchase only at the same time as your Season Pool Pass purchase, the Voyager Transportation and Recreation Pass allows the resident pool pass holder unlimited rides on the Waterway Cruisers and a certain number of entries to the Riva Row Boat House, and The Ice Rink at Town Center depending on the level purchased:

• Basic ($35 plus the cost of a Season Pool Pass) = 3 Boathouse / 3 Ice Rink
• Premium ($60 plus the cost of a Season Pool Pass) = 5 Boathouse / 5 Ice Rink
