Township hits a high note with plays, concerts on the fall schedule

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (September 8, 2017) – Getting back to normal after the storm is key for many people, and The Woodlands is the place for fun, family-friendly activities.  This month, The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department is offering a full lineup of free concerts and performances.

“These events have become synonymous with The Woodlands. Over the years, these events have contributed to making The Woodlands a family-friendly community,” said Township Director of Parks and Recreation Chris Nunes.

Fall Series of Concert in the Park at Northshore Park

End your week on the right note with Concert in the Park, Sundays, September 10 to October 15, 2017, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77389. Concert in the Park at has been a community tradition since 1984, presenting a variety of local and regional entertainment with family-friendly activities during select concert dates. Arts in the Park

Arts in the Park will feature a live performance of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet by UpStage Theatre on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Rob Fleming Park, 6055 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77389. The free performance will include musical accompaniment by The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra. The event will also offer food trucks, a kids’ zone and entertaining stage performances leading up to the live theatre performance of Romeo and Juliet. An additional Arts in the Park event will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Rob Fleming Park, featuring local vendors selling original artwork, concessions, children’s activities and live stage entertainment. Fall Series of Rock the Row, presented by Strike, at Hughes Landing

Rock the Row at Hughes Landing features live outdoor music as presented by local and regional artists. With the scenic Lake Woodlands and Hughes Landing as a backdrop, Rock the Row provides a fun and exciting evening out with family and friends. The fall edition of the Rock the Row concert series takes place Thursdays, October 12 to November 16, 2017, from 7 to 9 p.m. Visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/rocktherow for the full entertainment lineup.
