THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (August 7, 2018) – The Woodlands Township launched 10 swan pedal boats on The Woodlands Waterway on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Riva Row Park. The new recreational amenity was approved for purchase by the Board of Directors on June 5, 2018.
“The Board of Directors is very pleased that our beautiful swan boats have entered the Waterway,” said The Woodlands Township Chairman Gordy Bunch. “The Township is always looking for new amenities to offer our residents and guests, and we look forward to seeing the swan boats in use along the upper Waterway. Residents are going to have a lot of fun with these.”
The swan-shaped boats are now available to rent to the public and are located near Riva Row Boat House at 2101 Riva Row, The Woodlands, TX 77380. Boats are permitted to travel the upper level of the Waterway from the turning basin at Riva Row Park to the east end of the canal but are not permitted in Lake Robbins. Rental fees are $25 for the first hour and $5 for each additional hour.
