THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (June 20, 2014) – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a regular Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard, at 9 a.m. The entire meeting can be watched on video at The Woodlands Township website (www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov) The following actions were taken:
• Heard public comment;• Received and accepted the Financial Report for the five months ended May 31, 2014;• Received and approved a resolution concerning the Annual Report on Financial Information and Operating Data for the disclosure filing pertaining to Sales Tax and Hotel Occupancy Tax Bonds Series 2009 and 2010; Sales Tax and Hotel Occupancy Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2010; and Unlimited Tax Bonds, Series 2010, 2011 and 2012;• Received and approved a Proclamation that the month of July, 2014, is Park and Recreation Month;• Received and approved a Special Event Permit for Interfaith's Le Tour de Woodlands;• Received and approved Board Meeting Calendar changes for 2014;• Received and approved a Venue Sponsorship Agreement with YMCA for the Dragon Boat Races Team Challenge;• Received and approved a Special Event Permit for the Heart Walk;• Received and awarded the bid for the Town Center Christmas Tree and Doves;• Received and approved an easement from The Woodlands Land Development Company for development of land adjacent to and in conjunction with the Gosling Road Sports Field Complex; • Received and approved a License Agreement for Parking Facilities with Brazos Transit District for the Research Forest Park and Ride;• Received a presentation of the Gosling Road Sports Field Complex concept plan and budget. The Township Board of Directors considered two alternate site plans for the Gosling Road Sports Park and 10 different construction budget options. These options varied depending upon the number of all-weather turf fields to be included. The Board selected Alternate Site Plan B, Option 2, which will provide for three all weather turf fields and two natural grass fields with a construction estimate of $5,566,741.• Received and approved the Minutes of the Regular Board Meetins of April 23, 30 and May 21, 2014 and the Minutes of the Special Board Meeting of May 15, 2014;• Received the Administrative Reports for Law Enforcement and Community Policing, The Woodlands Fire Department, Community Services for June, 2014;• Received and approved renewal of the Brazos Transit District Trolley Agreement;• Received a TLFFRA pension update.
