Fireworks strictly prohibited in The Woodlands neighborhoods

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (June 20, 2014) – Residents of The Woodlands are reminded that The Woodlands Covenants strictly prohibit the sale or use of fireworks of any kind, including sparklers, within the boundaries of The Woodlands without an approved Township permit.

All it takes is one errant spark in a heavily wooded forest area to cause severe damage to the community, so all residents are encouraged to refrain from using any kind of fireworks, and to encourage neighbors to do the same.

The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts a Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza for all to enjoy along The Woodlands Waterway, Town Green Park and Waterway Square. This fireworks show is launched by Pyro Shows, one of the nation’s leading fireworks companies, at dusk on July 4 and will be simulcast on SUNNY 99.1 FM.

For more information, please call 281-210-3800 or visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/fourthofjuly.
