THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (July 31, 2014) – All 14 of The Woodlands Township pools are open for the regular season, and with the summer heating up, residents are finding relaxing and cool fun for the whole family.
The Shadowbend Pool re-opened earlier this month and is newly renovated to include a spray ground that is open during pool hours. The 13 other facilities also feature an array of fun attractions for all age groups, from the climbing wall at Sawmill, to the 500-foot lazy river and two-story tube slide at Rob Fleming, to the play structures of Cranebrook and Windvale, or the lily pads at Wendtwoods and the alligator at Harper’s Landing.
All residents are encouraged to pick up a copy of Splash! — a guide and map to The Woodlands Township community pools and splash pads that highlights the unique features and operations schedule of each facility. Splash! brochures are available at every pool, The Woodlands Recreation Center, The Woodlands Township Town Hall, The Woodlands Homefinder Center and The Woodlands Parks, Recreation and Environmental Service Department buildings.
The regular pool season schedule will be maintained right up until the day school starts on August 25, 2014, and all pools will be open on Labor Day, and certain facilities remain open throughout weekends in September.
Season pool passes are still available for purchase. Residents needing to renew a season pass can do so at any of the 14 pools, by calling 281-210-3950, or at The Woodlands Township Recreation Center at 5310 Research Forest Drive. Residents and guests who would like to purchase a new season pass need to have a picture taken at the Recreation Center.
An added value to the season pool pass is The Voyager Pass, which allows residents to get additional kayak rentals from the Riva Row Boat House, entrances to The Ice Rink, and unlimited rides on the Waterway Cruisers for the rest of the season. Details on the pass can be found at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/voyagerpass.
