Firemen and sheriff’s deputies meet in Boots vs. Badges softball game

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (August 7, 2014) – Batter up! Residents of The Woodlands are encouraged to come out and root for both of the home teams Saturday morning at a free softball game between The Woodlands Fire Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The game will be held at Scotland Yard baseball field at McCullough Junior High School in The Woodlands. The first pitch will be thrown by Chief Alan B. Benson of The Woodlands Fire Department and caught by Captain Andrew Eason of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The spirited rivalry between these teams is sure to be entertaining, as were the previous heated matches. The record is now one win for each team, and time for the ultimate tie breaker. All residents are invited to come out to cheer and show support for the folks who keep our community safe.

Boots vs. Badges Softball Game
When: Saturday, August 16, 2014, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Where: McCullough Jr. High, Scotland Yard Field
3800 South Panther Creek Drive
Cost: Admission is free
