Woodlands Landscaping Solutions event update - CANCELLED due to weather

This event has been cancelled due to weather. Gratitude and appreciation go to the many volunteers who worked hard preparing for this year’s event. Residents can look forward to the event next year, scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2019.


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (September 28, 2018) –  The Woodlands Landscaping Solutions environmental event is scheduled for Saturday, September 29 at the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, weather permitting. If the event is cancelled due to weather, notice will be placed on social media, specifically The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Facebook page and on the event calendar page on the Township website. Please visit these sites for the latest information.

Woodlands Landscaping Solutions has been a featured community event hosted by The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department for more than 20 years. This year’s event continues this tradition at a new location—the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park.

Highlights for this year’s event include opportunities…

To learn:

  • Over 30 booths with area gardening experts and various environmental and wildlife organizations will answer your questions, provide tips, and offer inspiration.
  • Take a composting class.
  • See guest speaker, Mark Morgenstern, from Morning Star Prairie Plants, and Tom LeRoy who will present, "Taking car of Your Lawn." 

To shop and win prizes:

  • Shop the marketplace for an assortment of plants, gardening tools, supplies, and gifts.
  • Purchase a composting bin and a rain barrel.
  • Enter drawings for great door prizes.
  • Free plants available at the Pass-along Plant booth.

To get personalized help:

  • Bring in cuttings of any troubled plants in your landscape and have them diagnosed at the Plant Clinic booth.
  • Grab your worn garden tools to get advice for repairing and maintaining them at the Tool Guy’s booth.
