Holiday Services Not Impacted

The Woodlands Township reminds residents that all solid waste services in the community will occur as usual over the holiday. There will be no interruption or delay of services. Waste Management will provide curbside pickup of trash, recycling and yard trimmings to all residents on their regular service day.

Holiday Recycling Service

We're making it easy to get rid of all the extra stuff left after the big parties are thrown, meals are eaten, presents are open, and trees are decorated. To assist residents with recycling gift boxes and wrappings, additional holiday recycling pickup will be offered on each household’s first solid waste service day following December 25, 2016.

Please Note: Failure to follow the provided holiday recycling guidelines will result in items being left at the curb.

Christmas Recycling
Christmas Tree

Christmas Tree Collection
Green Christmas trees will be picked up weekly by the yard trimmings truck as part of regularly scheduled curbside services.

  • Remove all decorations, lights and tanglers.

  • Remove the tree stand.

  • Place tree at curb on regular service day.
Flocked Christmas trees require a special pickup and must be landfilled. Please schedule a bulk pickup by calling (800) 800-5804 at least two business days before your regular service day.

Holiday Recycling and Donating

If decluttering or reorganizing are on your post holiday to-do list, keep giving by turning your trash into treasure. Give items a second life and download the Donation Guide for a list of convenient drop-off and pick-up options for a variety of local charitable organizations.

Conserve resources by recycling those items that no longer work. Refer to the
Recycle More Guide for list of drop-off sites that accept everything from broken appliances and computers to eyeglasses and propane tanks.
