The Woodlands Township Board of Directors recently recognized the efforts of hundreds of volunteers in the community. These volunteers help to make The Woodlands an exceptional place where generations live, work, learn and play.

2016 Summary of Accomplishments

The Township Board of Directors made a number of significant accomplishments during 2016, including maintaining the previous property tax rate of 23 cents per $100 of valuation. This action was taken while preserving service levels, increasing public safety services, increasing community maintenance and keeping appropriate reserves. The Woodlands Joint Powers Agency will begin annual hydrant flushing January 30, 2017, and the project will take approximately 8 to 10 weeks to complete. Fire hydrants around the community will be opened and allowed to flow water for a short period of time. If you have any questions regarding the proposed flushing program, please contact the customer service division of The Woodlands Joint Powers Agency at 855-H2o-SAVE.
