The Woodlands Fire Department is an all-career Department of 136 personnel with positions that include:
- 111 shift personnel
- 14 dispatchers
- Administrative analyst
- Fire Chief

- Two part-time maintenance technicians

The Woodlands Fire Department has seven fire stations, one temporary fire station in Creekside Park with the permanent fire station scheduled to be completed in 2010. There are five engine companies, three quints (ladders), one mini pumper and one Battalion Chief Unit in service. Other units include:
The Woodlands Emergency Training Center was completed in Fall 2008, housing multi-discipline classes and training. The average response time for the Department is under five minutes. The Woodlands Fire Department ISO rating is two as of June 1, 2009.
