About the Department
The Woodlands Fire Department is an all-career Department of
159 personnel with positions that include:
- 132 shift personnel
- 16 dispatchers
- Administrative analyst
- Fire Chief
- Inspector
- Three deputy chiefs
- Two administrative assistants
- Two part-time maintenance technicians
- BC Training
The Woodlands Fire Department has eight fire stations. There are five engine companies, four quints (ladders), one mini pumper, two brush pumpers and one Battalion Chief Unit in service. Other units include:
The Woodlands
Emergency Training Center was completed in Fall 2008, housing multi-discipline classes and training. The average response time for the Department is under five minutes. The Woodlands Fire Department ISO rating is two as of June 1, 2009.
The Woodlands Fire Department's new
Central Station and Administrative Offices opened April 2013.
