Practice open water swimming for a triathlon! No instruction provided. Walk-up registration welcome.  Ages 13 and up. Red Cross Certified Lifeguards and The Woodlands Fire Department will be onsite with a boat.

Long - 1.2 mile -  7:30-9:30 am
Short - 500 meters - 10:30-12:30 am
Both Courses- Swimmers Must exit water from 9:30-10:30am

Triathlon Clinics:

Open Water Swim Clinic with Ironman & Swim Shops of the Southwest owner TJ Fry.
Great for first time triathletes! Athletes new to open-water swimming will learn the challenges of swimming in the CB&I Tri. Includes training materials and swimming tips.

Ages:
13 and up.
Fee: $25 (includes open water short course 10:30a.m.- 12:30p.m.)

First Timer Sprint Triathlon Internet Training

For self starters who want to start racing triathlons! Review and practice triathlon techniques in monthly meetings. Online communicationfor assistance, explanations, and encouragement. Coach Sandra Sutherland USAT, RRCA and TXTri, provides instruction for sports nutrition and prep for the first race. Please note that meetings are set up with instructor after registration. 

Ages: 13 and up.
Fee: $100-Resident / $110 Non- Resident

Triathlon First Timer’s Clinic

Designed to educate triathletes on basic fundamentals involved with completing a sprint-distance triathlon. It will familiarize participants with swim, bike, run, transition techniques and maps, as well as a checklist for race day. Must pre-register. USAT Triathlon Coach: Sandra Sutherland. Program includes one short course swim entry. 

Ages: 14 and up.
Fee: $35-Resident / $40 Non- Resident

Open Water, Long-Course Swim Clinic w/ OutRival Racing

Coach Michelle LeBlanc of OutRival Racing, the official coaching service of Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas, will give a clinic on what to expect on race day and how to tackle the the 2.4 mile long-course swim. Specific attention will be given to the race morning protocol, the mass start, navigation techniques, what to expect when swimming the course as well as in the Waterway, the pros/cons of wearing a speed suit or wetsuit, how to mentally tackle the swim, and more! Come learn how to prepare better! Comes with handouts and extra instruction

Ages: 13 and up.
