Friday, July 3, 2015
Star-Spangled Salute
The holiday festivities begin on Friday, July 3, 2015, with the Houston Symphony’s Star-Spangled Salute. The concert features a selection of patriotic favorites, American Classics, sing-alongs, and of course, Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” complete with cannons from atop the hill.  The concert begins at 8 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and admission is FREE. Fourth of July Parade 
Wake up early on July 4, put on your red, white and blue and get a prime viewing spot for the exciting South County Fourth of July Parade. The 1.3-mile parade begins and ends at The Woodlands United Methodist Church.The parade begins at 9 a.m., with marching bands, fire engines, clowns, horses and floats. A tent will be set up in front of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for senior citizens and the physically challenged to obtain relief from the summer heat. Roads will be closed during the parade. 
Splash Day
Sponsored by Kroger and First Choice Emergency Room
Cool off at one of the 14 community pools in The Woodlands. All Woodlands pools are FREE for Splash Day on July 4 with Splash Day activities scheduled from noon to 4 p.m.

Concert in the Park and “Things That Go” Bike Parade at Northshore Park
Bring the kids to Northshore Park, located at 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive, for the “Things That Go” Bike Parade and Decorating Contest at 4:30 p.m. Families are invited to parade their patriotically-decorated bike around the park with awards to follow. Don’t forget to pack a picnic and bring your lawn chairs for an evening of great live music by Good Time Muffin, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Snowcones available for purchase from Kona Ice. 

Live Music at Hughes Landing – NEW FOR 2015!
Experience The Woodlands’ newest mixed-use development in a unique way this Independence Day at Hughes Landing (located off Lake Woodlands Drive and Lake Front Circle, just east of Northshore Park). Featuring the variety sounds of Morgan McKay and the Double Barrel Band, the concert will take place along Restaurant Row beginning at 5:30 p.m. 

Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza 
Head to Town Green Park and along The Woodlands Waterway® for the 18th Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival on Saturday, July 4, 2015, from 6 to 10 p.m. 

Bring your family and friends for a festival filled with live music, face painting, strolling performers, children's activities, H-E-B hot dog and watermelon eating contests, vendor booths, concessions and much more! Coolers are not allowed inside Town Green Park for the Red, Hot & Blue Festival.

The Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by BBVA Compass, will begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.). There will be two different firing areas: a special effects show across from Town Green Park on The Woodlands Waterway and a very large aerial show over Lake Woodlands which will be fired from the east side of the lake near Lake Woodlands Drive. This show will have the distinction of being the first time The Woodlands has utilized the Lake Woodlands area for a 4th of July fireworks display.
