Community Associations Assessment History
The former Community Associations of The Woodlands for many years collected assessment fees. The transition of the Community Associations of The Woodlands and the former Town Center Improvement District created The Woodlands Township. As of January 1, 2010, assessments were replaced with an ad valorem property tax. The Township property tax is included as an additional line item on the J.R. Moore, Jr. Montgomery County Tax Assessor-Collector tax bill that is mailed in October each year to all Township residents. The tax office can be reached by calling 936-539-7897 or by logging on to the Montgomery County Web site.
