The Woodlands Township contracts with Waste Management to provide efficient, cost effective solid waste service. Targeting waste reduction, the plan includes:

• Once per week fully automated curbside trash collection utilizing a 96-gallon cart with green lid.
• Once per week automated collection of recyclables utilizing a 96-gallon cart with yellow lid.
• Once per week manual collection of yard trimmings.
• Scheduled pick-up of bulky trash.
• Twice a month scheduled collection of moving boxes and oversized cardboard for recycling. 
• All collections occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

• Trash and recycling carts, yard trimmings and bulky items must be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on your service day. 
• The weight limit for each cart is 200 pounds. 
• Allow 4 feet between each cart and other items to allow space for the automated arm on each truck to operate.
