Tech Free 4 Me Driving Village Challenge 2019

  • There has been a death on Texas roads every day for the past 18 years
    • Nationally, more than 1000 people are injured every day due to a distracted driver
      • Drivers are 23 times more likely to crash when texting and driving

Distracted Driving Deaths are 100 percent preventable!  Support your village and join the Neighborhood Watch Village Challenge 2019!

2019 Challenge Details (PDF)

  • The Village Challenge will run February 1, 2019 through October 15, 2019.  
  • The Challenge will incorporate a Point Challenge using the SAFE 2 SAVE mobile app as well as an online pledge.  

Point Challenge  

  • Download the SAFE 2 SAVE mobile app. Use the referral code WOODLANDS when downloading to earn 500 extra points.
  • Earn 2 points for every mile you drive tech free above 10 mph.
  • These points can be redeemed at local merchants and restaurants for free or discounted items.
  • To join the Village Challenge, tap on the trophy then Join a Competition. After entering your village code (see list below), Finish by tapping  Join this Competition.

  • Monthly drawings for prizes from sponsors of the SAFE 2 SAVE app will be held among the participants in the challenge.   The Village Association with the top three point totals will earn:

1st Place $1,000     2nd Place  $700     3rd Place  $300   

The Tech Free 4 Me Pledge is available to view and print. This pledge is an important start and reminder for safe driving!

Come join the Open House Events at the Woodlands Fire Stations planned for various dates in June and July 2019.  Enjoy Tech Free 4 Me Driving Village Challenge activities and give-a-ways!  Experience the lights and sirens of public safety equipment by exploring a fire truck and a law enforcement patrol vehicle.
