                Township’s Emergency Preparedness Event
                keeps residents ready and informed

The Woodlands Township Emergency Preparedness Event

Saturday, April 29, 2023

10 a.m. to Noon

Come to learn the various ways to be prepared for any severe weather or disaster that could occur in our area: hurricanes, extreme cold, flooding, fire, terrorism or earthquakes. Public safety agencies and local community organizations will be on hand to provide information to help you create your own personal plan to provide your own shelter, first aid, food and water.

CenterPoint Energy, the presenting sponsor for the event, will share a presentation on their role in an emergency and will offer many safety tips for working with utilities. In addition, The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services department will provide information on the resources, and tools available to our residents and how to stay informed.

New this Year!

  • McCormack Fire will certify your fire extinguisher if you bring it to the event. They can also advise you on the use, storage, and placement of your fire extinguisher.
  • Our younger residents can understand their role in preparedness while they make their own first aid kit and other fun activities. Smokey the Bear and Texas A&M Fire Service will help them learn about fire safety too.

Giveaways, and a charger flashlight will be available to those attending while supplies last. Enter the drawing at the event for more giveaways!

The Woodlands Township thanks all of the sponsors who helped make the event possible.  To schedule an emergency preparedness presentation or to find out more information, contact 281-210-3800.
