While the Township does not directly operate demand response transportation services for our community’s senior population, we do partner with Interfaith of The Woodlands and Meals on Wheels – Montgomery County to provide service. Non-Profit Transportation Options

Interfaith of The Woodlands: Interfaith of The Woodlands is a non-profit social service agency which provides demand-response transportation through volunteer drivers. This service is available to individuals 62 years and over who are enrolled in the program and reside in South Montgomery and Northern Harris Counties. Interfaith provides curb-to-curb, door-to-door round-trip transportation services to local health care appointments, grocery stores and social activities. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Senior Rides: Meals on Wheels – Montgomery County is a non-profit, social service agency which provides demand-response transportation through its transit program, Senior Rides. The service is available to individuals 60 years and over or have proof of disability from Social Security or from the individual’s doctor. Senior Rides provides curb-to-curb service with no trip restrictions. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

BrightStar Care Houston/The Woodlands: BrightStar Care Houston/The Woodlands is a public (Federal/HHS) agency which provides demand-response services to individuals 65 years and over, persons with disabilities, veterans and the LEP population. The service area includes the City of Houston, Texas Medical Center, the City of Conroe-Woodlands area, and Northern Harris and Montgomery Counties. Hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare: Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare is a government agency which provides mental health services to adults and children along with services to individuals with developmental disabilities. These services include case management, medication management, skills training and substance abuse treatment. Limited transportation is provided to clients as a last resort. Service areas include Liberty, Montgomery and Walker Counties. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
