Race Details

Glow and Go 5K will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023, along The Woodlands Waterway beginning at 7 p.m. Glow and Go 5K is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department and a USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event. The chip-timed 5K course will wind throughout the Waterway, providing a scenic route and fun, enjoyable atmosphere fostering friendly competition. The 5K race is open to runners of all abilities and recommended for participants ages 10 and older. Runners are encouraged to dress in their best glow costumes in the spirit of Halloween!

A post-race party will be available to race participants and their guests offsite, hosted and organized by The Westin at The Woodlands. More details will be posted at a later date. 

Registration Information

Registration will open on December 1, 2022. Register HERE.  

Capped at 500 participants. Registration fee is $35 and includes finisher medal and participant packet. Please Note: A participant shirt will not be offered for this race. There will be no race day registration. 

Refund Policy: 100% of your entry fee will be refunded until October 13. Refunds will not include Active.com processing fee. Refunds can take up to 3 weeks for processing. Please email the department to request a refund.

Please enter through the Board Chambers entrance.

PLEASE NOTE: Only participants who have pre-registered and paid for Race Day Packet Pickup will be allowed to pick up their packets Race Day morning. 

Race Results

Race results to be posted no later than 8 a.m. Sunday, October 29.

Awards

Awards will be distributed to participants onsite. Awards will be provided as follows:

• Overall Winner - Male and Female
• Overall Masters Winner - Male and Female (40 years and up)
• Top three Male and Female finishers in the following age categories:
  • 14 years and younger
  • 15-19 years
  • 20-29 years
  • 30-39 years
  • 40-49 years
  • 50-59 years
  • 60-69 years
  • 70 years and up
