Race Details

Glow and Go 5K will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, along The Woodlands Waterway beginning at 6 p.m. Glow and Go 5K is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department and a USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event. The chip-timed 5K course will wind throughout the Waterway, providing a scenic route and fun, enjoyable atmosphere fostering friendly competition. The 5K race is open to runners of all abilities and recommended for participants ages 10 and older. Runners are encouraged to dress in their best glow costumes in the spirit of the Holidays!

For participants 21 years of age and older - Visit the  Como Social Club at the Westin after the race for a glow-themed after party featuring drink specials, live music starting at 9 p.m. and a whole lot of fun! Families and those interested in dining can visit Sorriso Italian Kitchen at the Westin for authentic regional Italian cuisine. The Glow and Go 5K after-party is planned and offered by the Westin and Como Social Club.

Registration Information

The 2023 Glow and Go 5K sold out as of Thursday, November 16 at 9:30 a.m. If you would like to be added to the Wait List. please email races@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov. Please note this does not guarantee a spot will become available. If and when a registration cancellation is made, staff will contact the next person on the Wait List. There will be no Race Day Packet Resale or Race Day Registration. 

Capped at 550 participants. Registration fee is $35 and includes finisher medal and participant packet. Participant shirt is available in limited sizes and quantities (Youth Large through Adult 2XL) for $15. Participants must register/purchase the shirt no later than November 10, 2023. Shirts will only be available on race day if inventory permits, and will be $20 if purchasing the day of the race.

There will be no Race Day registration. 

Refund Policy: 100% of your entry fee will be refunded until November 17. Refunds will not include Active.com processing fee. Refunds can take up to 3 weeks for processing. Please email the department to request a refund.

PLEASE NOTE: Only participants who have pre-registered and paid for Race Day Packet Pickup will be allowed to pick up their packets Race Day morning.

Awards

Awards will be distributed to participants onsite. Awards will be provided as follows:

• Overall Winner - Male and Female
• Overall Masters Winner - Male and Female (40 years and up)
• Top three Male and Female finishers in the following age categories:
  • 14 years and younger
  • 15-19 years
  • 20-29 years
  • 30-39 years
  • 40-49 years
  • 50-59 years
  • 60-69 years
  • 70 years and up

Please note there will not be an Awards Ceremony. Awards can be picked up from The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation tent onsite. A photo area will be available for participants.

Parking

Participant parking is available at the Town Center Parking Garage and Gold Lot (located at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive). Participants can access the Waterway and start/finish line area from the pathway on the south side of the parking garage. Additional parking is available in the green, orange, yellow, blue and white lots at 2002 Timberloch Place. There is no fee for parking.
