It's Not Easy Being Green: Frogs and Toads of Houston with Mike Howlett, Special Projects Coordinator, Spring Creek Greenway

Learn about 16 species of frogs and toads are common in our area, each with a unique call or vocalization.  Mr. Howlett will provide simple clues for identifying frogs by their characteristic clicking, belching and chirping sounds.

Well-known for his lively programs about snakes, Mike Howlett will present a spellbinding evening with frogs and toads.

Located on the edge of the Big Thicket, Montgomery County is home to a diverse plant and wildlife population.
Walk in the Woods Nature Lecture Series provides an introduction to the unique species that inhabit our community. Guest speakers recognized for their expertise present topics ranging from bats and owls to hummingbirds and habitat gardening. Featuring exquisite photography and occasionally live specimens, Walk in the Woods appeals to nature enthusiasts of all ages and levels of interest, from students to retirees.
