Coyotes: The transition from Catch and Kill to Research and Community Education

What is normal coyote behavior?  What makes them so adaptable and why are they in our neighborhoods?  What if should be done about them?

Presented by Josh Henderson, Galveston Police Department Animal Services Unit Supervisor
Josh Henderson, Texas Certified Animal Cruelty Investigator and Animal Control Officer will answer these questions and more. Josh’s expertise is honed from over 15 years managing coyotes and other wildlife on Galveston Island, which he helped transition from trap/catch/kill to a proper coyote management program. Galveston remains on the cutting edge of coyote research and urban coyote management and Josh will explain both the ongoing research and share the necessary community education that makes this program a success.
