THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 24, 2020) – The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch invites the public to the annual Emergency Preparedness Event at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., on Saturday, March 28, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event will highlight speakers, public safety personnel and emergency vehicles to better prepare residents for an emergency.
Special guest speaker, Warning Coordination Meteorologist for The National Weather Service for the Houston region, Dan Reilly, will discuss weather and hurricane predictions for 2020.
There will be drawing items, giveaways and handouts while they last. Information will also be available about emergency notifications, volunteer opportunities in the area and training classes provided by organizations in attendance. Hurricane season starts June 1, 2020, but it’s never too early to find out about the resources available.
