Did You Know?
COVID-19 has not affected the mosquito population, and this year, several areas of The Woodlands have already been identified as having mosquitoes that carry West Nile Virus. Everyone is advised to wear repellent when outdoors and West Nile virus is known to be circulating. This is especially true if someone:

  • Is outside in the early morning or evening hours when these mosquitoes are most active
  • Is over age 50
  • Has underlying health conditions

The Township also appreciates your help by reporting areas with persistent standing water (more than five days) or an abundance of adult mosquitoes. You can do this by calling 281-210-3800 and asking for the Township Environmental Services Department.

While there have been no human cases reported in The Woodlands as of yet, there has been a moderate increase in mosquito disease activity across multiple zones and Villages – please be vigilant in taking personal protective measures. Arm yourself to FIGHT THE BITE with the latest mosquito-proofing tips.

You can also access the treatment map that shows where mosquito spraying has occurred and the schedule for South Montgomery County here and for Harris County here.
