Free COVID-19 Testing at Township Town Hall--NEW HOURS
The Woodlands Township is a host location for free COVID-19 testing performed by COVID-19 testing company, Curative, Inc. The walk-up testing will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. The Woodlands, TX 77381 until future notice. The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute
The Veterans Day Tribute is scheduled for tomorrow, November 11, 2020 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Town Green Park (2099 Lake Robbins Drive). The tribute will feature a presentation of colors, musical performances, swearing in ceremony for future soldiers, special military care package drop-off booth, Keynote Speaker - Lieutenant Colonel Barry Winnegan, and more! Montgomery County COVID-19 Voucher Update
Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with Montgomery County Hospital District, is announcing the end of the COVID-19 voucher program for Montgomery County residents. Since the beginning of the program, they are proud to say approximately 10,000 residents were issued vouchers using the program funded by grants obtained by both MCPHD and MCHD.

With the budget for testing nearing fulfillment, the last day to request a voucher through MCPHD or MCHD will be this Wednesday, November 11, 2020. To request a voucher, click on “Need to be tested?” on or and follow the instructions. All vouchers must be used at a designated testing center by Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Montgomery County COVID-19 Case Count November 10, 2020
In reference to the daily COVID-19 update, Montgomery County Public Health District (MCPHD) is undergoing a database upgrade and hopes to return to daily updates on Thursday, November 12, 2020. They are pleased to be joining health departments all over the state in using Texas Health Trace, which will allow them to more easily share data with The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and enlist their assistance with any spikes in COVID-19 cases that may occur. 

Please remember to: wash your hands, disinfect surfaces, stay 6 feet away from others, avoid crowds, and wear a mask.

Harris County COVID-19 Case Count
Harris County Public Health (HCPH) publishes their daily case count, combined with the City of Houston's daily case count, here. Cases by zip code in Harris County can be found by clicking on areas of the map.

The Village of Creekside Park is located in two zip codes: 77375 and 77389, and these also include Magnolia, Augusta Pines/Auburn Lakes/West Rayford Road in northwest Harris County. Today, Harris County is reporting zip code 77375 has 1,475 confirmed positive cases with 163 active cases, and 77389 has 760 confirmed positive cases with 64 active cases.

Montgomery County has not updated their website since Thursday, November 5, 2020 due to maintenance on the county website. The website is anticipated to be back online Thursday, November 12, 2020.

State and National News

State of Texas Prepared to Distribute COVID-19 Treatments
Governor Greg Abbott announced yesterday, November 10, 2020, that the State of Texas has prepared allocation plans to swiftly distribute medicines and vaccines that are now becoming available to treat COVID-19. November 9, 2020 was the first day of what will be many announcements in the coming weeks about the availability of medicines and vaccines to combat COVID-19. Read the full press release.

Governor Renews State of Disaster Declaration for COVID-19
On Friday, November 6, 2020, Governor Greg Abbott renewed the State Disaster Declaration for COVID-19 in November 2020 for all counties in Texas. ­­View the Proclamation.

While the United States remains focused on the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to be aware of flu season as winter approaches, with activity peaking between December and February. Getting vaccinated now can lower your chances of getting the flu. Flu vaccines approved by the FDA provide important benefits and are your best defense from flu and its potential complications. Community Help Expo: Navigating Behavior Health and Suicide
The Community Help Expo is designed to bring awareness to mental health issues while also connecting the citizens of Montgomery County to their local mental health resources. The expo is set for November 12, 2020 from 1 to 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public. It will be held at the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center in Conroe (9055 Airport Road). The expo will feature presentations, panel discussions, keynote speaker Kevin Hines and an art exhibit. Register in advance for in-person or virtual attendance.
