The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a Special Board of Directors Meeting via videoconference on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at 6 p.m. The meeting can be viewed online.

Township invites residents to share positive messages of community 

The Woodlands Township would like to call on residents to share any images of inspiration with the community. These can be a photo of something seen in the neighborhood, a family project or anything with a positive message. These will be shared through the Township email updates, social media channels and on The Woodlands Township website. Residents interested in sharing can do so on social media at www.facebook.com/thewoodlandstownship. 

Help Our Heroes 
Help Our Heroes by donating crucial Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) supplies for local first responders and hospitals. Supplies needed include: isolation gowns, masks (N95s, surgical, procedure, face shields, or any type), gloves, hair covers, PAPR hoods (these are typically only used when doing an aerosolizing procedure), eyewear such as face shields, reusable goggles or disposable glasses, boot and shoe  covers, germicidal wipes, disinfectant spray and paper towels.

Collection times are Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Fire Station. View the Help Our Heroes flyer.

Bike The Woodlands Month Events Cancelled

Due to the evolving situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for social distancing, The Township will cancel Bike The Woodlands Month. All related events and activities will not be held throughout the month of May. The Township is committed to maintaining The Woodlands as a bicycle friendly community. Once The Township, Montgomery and Harris county declarations and CDC guidelines deem it safe to permit group gatherings, The Township will work to reschedule rides, workshops and other related events and activities to later dates, if possible. Social Distancing Activity: Gardening with Children

With the extra time created by social distancing, gardening is an activity that children of all ages can enjoy. Simple and exciting gardening opportunities abound in your yard and even inside your home. The Township Environmental Services team has compiled some tips to get you started with minimal supplies and minimal cost. READ ON
