Pool Passes

Township season pool passes and summer programs now available
Pool season is set to begin on Saturday, June 6, 2020. Season pool passes and lower daily rates apply this summer. Season passes are valid for entry into all open pools unless capacity has been met for the day according to State of Texas orders. Please be aware that having a pool pass does not supersede daily admission when addressing capacity limits at the pools. Pro-rations and refunds will not be issued due to the limited number of pools and/or State or other guidelines that may require pools to be closed. Please get more information here.

Township Summer Programs Now Available 
Summer is quickly approaching and The Woodlands Township is pleased to re-open a number of summer programs for the community to enjoy. Given the unprecedented situation surrounding COVID-19, summer programs have been adjusted to better serve the community in a safer manner.

The Woodlands Express

Sawdust Park and Ride Facility Resumes Partial Service
The Woodlands Township has begun partial service for The Woodlands Express from the Sawdust Park and Ride location.

  • Reduced service from the Research Forest Park and Ride will continue. 
  • Sterling Ridge Park & Ride location will remain temporarily closed.
  • Future announcements will be made if additional schedule adjustments are implemented.
  • Even though reduced, service from Sawdust will include Downtown Houston, the Texas Medical Center, and Greenway Plaza locations. Please view the revised schedule.
  • The midday run back from Texas Medical Center and Downtown to the Sawdust Park and Ride will remain in place.
  • Riders are encouraged to download and use the mobile ticketing app. More information can be found here: https://www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/1453/Mobile-Ticketing
  • All passengers are highly encouraged to wear masks. All drivers will be wearing face masks while on duty.
  • All buses are being limited to 50% occupancy with spare buses available to ensure plenty of capacity for all passengers for all runs. Water Bikes

Try A Water Bike at Riva Row Boat House
The Woodlands Township recently began offering water bikes as a new and exciting rental option at Riva Row Boat House. Water bikes are being added to the many rental options already available at Riva Row, including single and tandem (or double) kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and swan pedal boats. Read more about water bikes at the Riva Row Boat House.

Montgomery County COVID-19 Case Count
Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, can confirm the number of ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 has increased to 497 today. That number includes 31 hospitalizations. 487 people have fully recovered. The number of total positive cases has increased 44 since yesterday to 1,010.

Harris County COVID-19 Case Count
Harris County Public Health (HCPH) publishes their daily case count, combined with the City of Houston's daily case count, here: https://tinyurl.com/tzymvk5. Cases by zip code in Harris County can be found  by clicking on areas of the map.

The Village of Creekside Park is located in two zip codes: 77375 and 77389 and these also include Magnolia, Augusta Pines/Auburn Lakes/West Rayford Road in northwest Harris County. Today, Harris County is reporting zip code 77375 has 92 confirmed positive cases with 39 active cases and 77389 has 54 confirmed positive cases with 16 active cases.

Third Named Storm Cristobal Forms, Possible Impacts Later This Week
Tropical Storm Cristobal is the third named storm of 2020. Cristobal comes on the second day of the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season. The storm is currently moving over the Bay of Campeche in Mexico.
 
According to the National Weather Service, it is too early to determine the specific track of Cristobal but residents should prepare for possible impacts late in the weekend into early next week.

The Woodlands Farmer’s Market Now Open Saturday Mornings from 8 a.m. to noon
The Woodlands Farmer’s Market has re-opened! Customers are encouraged to check the website, Facebook page or newsletter for definite details including phases in which the market will open, participating vendors, and best practices for visitors.

Several retailers at Market Street are currently open, and more will be opening in the coming weeks. Market Street management notes that individual retailers may require a mask and additional safety requirements upon entry, so customers are encouraged to call ahead to verify hours and guidelines. The Blood Center is now requiring that donors wear a mask or face covering when at a blood drive. In the case that you do not have one, staff will offer you one. The safety of donors and staff are important to us. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Red Cross Family Assistance
The American Red Cross has launched a Virtual Family Assistance Center (VFAC) to support families struggling with loss and grief due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Red Cross is here to provide compassion and support to families as they grieve.
 
To help, the Red Cross has set up a virtual team of specially trained mental health, spiritual care and health services volunteers who are:

  • Connecting with families over the phone to offer condolences, support and access to resources that may be available
  • Providing support for virtual memorial services for families, including connecting with local faith-based community partners
  • Hosting online classes to foster resilience and facilitate coping skills (Coping in Today’s World and Psychological First Aid)
  • Sharing information and referrals to state and local agencies as well as other community organizations including legal resources for estate, custody, immigration or other issues
  • Front-line responders, such as healthcare workers, workers at long-term care facilities, and other essential personnel dealing with families of COVID-19 patients, are welcome to call as well.

All Family Assistance Center support will be provided virtually and is completely confidential and free.

The hub will also connect people to other community resources provided by partners. People without internet access can call 833-492-0094 for help.
