Chairman Bunch Discusses Hospital Capacity in Good Shape With recent escalating numbers of positive cases of COVID-19 in the area, Township Chairman Gordy Bunch discusses hospital capacity in The Woodlands area. The video can be watched here. The Woodlands and Harris County has sufficient capacities, according to the SouthEast Texas Regional Advisory Council (SETRAC) that monitors hospital capacity on a daily basis.

County News Montgomery County COVID-19 Case Count increases by 183 positives Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, is saddened to confirm an additional death related to COVID-19. A woman in her 70s from Spring died in the hospital. She had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19. They offer condolences to her family at this difficult time. - TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 183 to 5,780 since Friday’s report (7/24).
- ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 increased by 58 to 2,597 since Thursday’s report (7/23).
- 65 residents are known to be in the hospital, as a result of contact investigations. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
- 3,024 people have clinically recovered.

It is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Harris County COVID-19 Case Count Harris County Public Health (HCPH) publishes their daily case count, combined with the City of Houston's daily case count, here. Cases by zip code in Harris County can be found by clicking on areas of the map.
The Village of Creekside Park is located in two zip codes: 77375 and 77389, and these also include Magnolia, Augusta Pines/Auburn Lakes/West Rayford Road in northwest Harris County. Today, Harris County is reporting zip code 77375 has 431 confirmed positive cases with 189 active cases, and 77389 has 244 confirmed positive cases with 71 active cases.
Testing Information Testing in Montgomery County A reminder, online registration is now available for COVID-19 testing through the MCPHD/MCHD voucher program. Call the COVID-19 Call Center at 936-523-3916, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for more information. Testing in Harris County Get tested, it’s free! Once tested, results from HCPH testing sites can take up to 5 days to process. As you wait for your results, stay home and self-isolate, especially if you are sick, practice social distancing (6 ft/2 m) and wear a face-covering. Additional Testing Sites Governor Greg Abbott announced on Sunday, July 12, 2020, that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has extended federal support of Community Based Testing Sites in Dallas and Houston through July 31, 2020. Local School Districts Reopening Plans - Conroe ISD announced on July 20, 2020, the school year will begin on August 12, 2020, and ALL students will begin in remote/online instruction only. Traditional in-person instruction is scheduled to begin no earlier than September 8, 2020. Read the full message from Dr. Null | Roadmap to Reopening
- Magnolia ISD announced on July 22, 2020, school will start on August 12, 2020 with ALL students receiving instruction online through Labor Day. Planning for the 2020-2021 School Year
- Tomball ISD announced on July 22, 2020, a decision has been made to start the school year on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 with ALL students in remote/virtual instruction only. Return to Excellence – Reopening 2020
- The John Cooper School
Lower School – Students will return to campus in staggered small groups on August 13 and 14, 2020 for a safer first entry and to introduce and practice new protocols. Online learning option also remains available and will begin on August 17.
Middle and Upper School – All Middle and Upper School students will begin the school year on August 13, 2020 in a short-term online learning plan. They expect the short-term online plan to conclude before Labor Day, at which time they will implement a de-densified on-campus AM/PM schedule. Township News Wendtwoods Pool Re-Opens, Forestgate Pool Closes on Monday, July 27, 2020 The Woodlands Township will re-open Wendtwoods Pool to the public on Monday, July 27, 2020, from 2 to 8 p.m. The pool was temporarily closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, July 25, 2020. Due to the number of lifeguards in quarantine and as outlined in the COVID-19 Pool Closure Prioritization Plan, Forestgate Pool will be closed effective July 27, 2020. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Goes Virtual for Free Arts Outreach Program Though The Pavilion’s Main Stage is currently dark, the non-profit organization is strongly committed to continuing to provide cultural enrichment for both young audiences and the public at large by increasing exposure to the arts. The Pavilion has recently launched several of its free educational outreach programs virtually for families to enjoy from the safety of their homes. This season’s free Mini Maestros kids club is being offered through a digital experience via Google Classroom. The Pavilion is also excited to launch the Virtual Scout Day Program this season as a way for Scouts BSA to achieve their Music Merit Badge. Read the full release for more information.
