Township to Host Blood Drive
The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch will host a blood drive on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. via donor coach at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive. The drive benefits Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and donors will be entered to win a free round-trip domestic airline flight on Spirit Airlines. Register Now for Earth Day GreenUp

The Woodlands Township is now registering volunteers for the 10th annual community-wide litter cleanup event, Earth Day GreenUp, on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Help keep our community beautiful and enjoy the outdoors while bagging litter from streets, pathways and streams. Families, friends and neighbors are invited to join in a socially-distanced effort that targets litter on pathways, parks, waterways and green spaces. READ ON

Township Continues Recycle Right Program

The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department is continuing the Recycle Right education program after a successful rollout in 2020. Recycle Right helped The Woodlands reduce recycling contamination by 14 percent compared to 2019. As part of Recycle Right, Township staff will place an educational tag on all residential curbside carts between February and April of 2021. Tags are for general education only; no inspections of cart contents will be made. Residents are encouraged to save the tag and refer to it when questioning whether an item belongs in the cart.
