Township Issues Reminders During COVID Surge

During the current nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases, particularly the Delta variant, the Township reminds residents to stay safe and well and to help mitigate the spread of the virus. Since Monday, August 9, 2021, the testing positivity rate in Montgomery County has increased from 21 to 23 percent. The Harris County COVID-19 Threat Level remains at Level 1 (Severe Threat). READ MORE

Protect Yourself Against Mosquitos

There has been a substantial increase in West Nile activity in The Woodlands this week. Two-thirds of all zones and 90 percent of Villages have returned mosquito samples positive for West Nile virus. Please protect yourself and your family from mosquitos by wearing repellent and long clothing when outdoors and avoiding peak times when mosquitos are most active, usually at dusk and early dawn hours. The Woodlands Township encourages residents to plan ahead and prepare in case of a weather event. Hurricane season officially began on June 1, 2021 and ends on November 30, 2021.
