Township to Host Tax Prep Assistance with AARP 

The Woodlands Township, in partnership with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, will host tax preparation assistance this tax season. Assistance will be offered to all, free of charge, with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 with low to moderate income. Tax-Aide service in The Woodlands will be available at The Recreation Center at Bear Branch Park, 5310 Research Forest Dr., on an appointment-only basis beginning February 8, 2022, through April 15, 2022. Arbor Day Event Gives Free Tree Seedlings 

The Woodlands’ annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway is set for Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 9 a.m. to noon at Rob Fleming Park. The Woodlands celebrates its 46th year of giving away seedlings, making it one of the longest-standing community traditions. This is a FREE event for Woodlands’ residents. Attendees are advised to bring a reusable bag to help transport seedlings. Supplies are limited. READ MORE

Registration Open Now for Muddy Trails Events

The Woodlands Township invites the community to register for the Muddy Trails 5K race and Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cookoff. Best known for its fun, festive and Zydeco-themed atmosphere, the annual Muddy Trails 5K takes place on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Rob Fleming Park. This multifaceted running event features a chip-timed 5K race and competitive Crawfish Cook-Off. READ MORE
