Township Extends Proclamations, Discusses Resident Survey and More

Township to Host Memorial Day Event 

The Woodlands Township invites residents and visitors to the Memorial Day in The Woodlands event on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Dr., from 5 to 9 p.m. The event features a keynote speaker, a swearing-in ceremony, live music and more. The evening will conclude with a dazzling fireworks display, presented by Woodforest National Bank, choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack, weather permitting. No Interruption to Trash and Recycling Service

There will be no interruption of trash, recycling or yard waste service on Monday, May 30, 2022. All residents
will receive service on their regular service day for the week of the Memorial Day holiday. The Woodlands
Township Recycling Center will maintain normal operating hours: Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Precinct 3 Recycling Center will be closed on

Township Closed for the Holiday

In observance of Memorial Day, The Woodlands Township will be closed on Monday, May 30, 2022. Please note, various recreational offerings remain open  including the community pools, Texas TreeVentures, Riva Row and Lakes Edge Boat Houses. Both Recreation Centers will be closed. READ MORE

Fireworks Prohibited in The Woodlands

The Woodlands Fire Department and The Woodlands Township remind all residents that The Woodlands Covenants strictly prohibit the sale or use of fireworks and sparklers of any kind in The Woodlands Township neighborhoods. The Woodlands Township is situated in a beautiful forest, and one errant spark could severely damage the community. READ MORE

Join Township Environmental Services for Sunset Cinema at 8 p.m. tonight at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Dr. Sunset Cinema is a family-friendly event featuring animated movie classics with earth-friendly themes. Regular Pool Season Starts Today

Splash into summer with the beginning of the regular pool season at The Woodlands Township’s community pools today. Township pools are open daily during the regular season with some exceptions for pool maintenance and staff training. The regular season for all  pools concludes August 9, 2022, with post-season running through September 5, 2022. READ MORE

Houston-Galveston Area Council Survey

H-GAC is the federally designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the 8-county Houston-Galveston metropolitan region. The H-GAC Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA) is comprised of Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller Counties. H-GAC is planning for the region’s next 20 years, prioritizing safety, convenience, accessibility, and sustainability for the entire Gulf Coast region.
