Township Commissions 16 New Firefighters

The Woodlands Township commissioned 16 new firefighters who have completed their training to become dedicated safety personnel in the community. The event took place on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at The Woodlands Township’s Town Hall facility. The Woodlands Fire Department Firefighter Academy Class 23-01, the largest class in the 50-year history of TWFD, was installed after completion of four weeks of rigorous training and after making the cut of more than 300 individuals applying for the positions. The Woodlands Marathon Traffic Impact

The Woodlands Marathon takes place on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Traffic will be impacted from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please plan ahead and use alternate routes around the race course. Expect 15 to 30 minute delays if you cross into the designated center area of the race course. Please note, this is not a Township-produced event. READ MORE

Arts in the Park Event Returns for the Spring Season

The Arts in the Park event returns this Spring on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Northshore Park, located at 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381. This year's event will also feature a Youth Art Contest, open to artists 18 years and under and includes three age categories: 7 years and younger, 8 to 12 years and 13-18 years. Submissions will be accepted through Monday, March 6, 2023. First, second and third place winners from each category will receive recognition on stage at the event. READ MORE

Ride to the Rodeo with The Woodlands Express

The Woodlands Express, the Township’s Park and Ride transportation service, will carry riders from Sawdust Park and Ride to NRG Stadium every weekend of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The cost is $13 per person, round trip. Reservations are required. Please visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/rodeo to view schedules and purchase tickets through the reservation site link. Township Spraygrounds Open for the 2023 Season

The five spraygrounds, managed by The Woodlands Township, are now open daily for the 2023 season through October 31, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Featuring whimsical designs, the spraygrounds are sure to capture the imagination of young children at play. READ MORE
