Emergency Preparedness Event

Residents of all ages and businesses of The Woodlands are invited to attend the annual Township Emergency Preparedness Event on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., from 10 a.m. to noon to learn how to prepare for hurricanes and other emergencies. The Great Texas Birding Classic

The Great Texas Birding Classic is an annual competition held across Texas to determine which team can identify and count the most birds during a specific window of time. The Woodlands Township team is competing in the ‘Big Sit’ category at the Creekside West Trailhead of the George Mitchell Nature Preserve on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. documenting as many birds as they can see and hear. The April edition of The Woodlands Community Magazine is now online. This month's issue features information about the Township's reforestation efforts. The Township maintains an Integrated Forestry Management Plan which combines forestry, wildlife and natural resources conservation into a plan that will perpetuate the forest for years to come.
