What you need to know after the storm

Storm Updates from the Township

Wednesday's overnight storm resulted in power outages and storm debris across The Woodlands. The Township has compiled a number of resources to guide you through clean-up, power outages and reporting storm damage.

The website also includes additional information about event changes and facility closures. Please note the latest changes for this weekend:

  • BioBlitz BioBooth has changed locations; the event will now take place at 8203 Millennium Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77381. 
  • The Fired-Up Tour at Station 7, scheduled for June 24, 2023, in Creekside, has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Township Board of Directors Meeting

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a regular meeting on Thursday, June 22, 2023, wherein they discussed Homestead Exemption and tax exemptions for 65 and older/Disabled, issued a proclamation declaring July as Parks and Recreation Month, and reflected on the positive impact of HB 5311, along with other Township business. Splash into Fun at Red, Hot and Pool

In addition to Red, Hot and Blue, the Township pools will host Red, Hot and Pool on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Each pool will have patriotic decorations, activities and refreshments (while supplies last). The Woodlands Red, Hot and Pool will take place from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. with the Fourth of July activities happening between noon and 4 p.m. Grab your swimsuit and we'll see you there! Please note, daily fees will apply for residents and non-residents. Entry is free for season pool pass holders. READ MORE

Fireworks Prohibited in The Woodlands

As the Fourth of July approaches, residents are reminded that The Woodlands Covenants strictly prohibit the sale or use of home fireworks of any kind in The Woodlands Township. The Woodlands Township is situated in a beautiful forest, and one errant spark could severely damage the community. The Woodlands Fire Department also reminds residents to use 9-1-1 for emergencies only.
