What You Need to Know After the Storm

Last night’s storm resulted in power outages and storm debris across The Woodlands. Please see the information below to guide you through clean-up, power outages and reporting storm damage.

For those without power needing a place to escape the heat, Harris County has several facilities offering relief from the heat including area libraries. Locate a Facility
Storm Debris Collection - Waste Management

Storm Debris Clean-Up and Collection

Please contact your insurance agent with damage reports before initiating clean-up.

Small tree limbs and other yard waste will be picked up by Waste Management during your normal yard waste pickup time. Please follow our Yard Trimmings Guidelines as outlined on our website. Other bulky debris items must fall within our Bulky Oversized Trash Guidelines as outlined on our website.

Stay Safe After the Storm

Please exercise caution around downed power lines. Report downed powerlines to CenterPoint or Entergy, based upon your service provider. If you smell gas, please contact CenterPoint and continue to exercise great care in that area.

Township Updates

Township Closures and Updates

The following facilities and services were affected by the storm and will have delayed openings or closures:

  • The Rob Fleming Aquatic Center, Wendtwoods Pool, Timmaron Sprayground and May Valley Sprayground are closed until further notice due to a power outage. All other regularly scheduled Township pools open at noon on June 22, 2023.
  • Please note, The World's Largest Swimming Lesson Event  will now be held at Bear Branch Pool.
  • TexasTreeVentures is closed to undergo a structural safety evaluation following the storm. 
  • Town Center Trolleys and The Woodlands Express are operating as normal.
  • Town Hall and the Recreation Centers are open.
