Talk of the Township: Election Filing and Holiday Reminders

Filing for February elections begins Thursday, December 28, 2017

Are you interested in serving the community? More than 100 positions will be up for election in February to serve on The Woodlands Residential Design Review Committees and the Village Associations. Filing for all of these positions begins Thursday, December 28, 2017, and ends Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 5 p.m., for the February 2018 election. No forms will be accepted after the 5 p.m. deadline. READ ON

Board to Hold Special Planning Session

The Board of Directors will hold a special planning session on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 4 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Township Town Hall. Agendas, minutes and videos of Board meetings can be found on the Township website. READ ON

Holiday Waste Collection

The Woodlands Township reminds residents that there will be no solid waste collection services on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, 2017, and Monday, January 1, 2018, in observance of New Year’s Day. READ ON

Township Holiday Closures

The Woodlands Township Offices will be closed on the following days in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holiday: Friday, December 22, 2017; Monday, December 25, 2017; Monday, January 1, 2018. The Township wishes all residents happy and safe holidays. READ ON

Fireworks are prohibited in The Woodlands

Reminder: Fireworks prohibited in The Woodlands
As New Year’s Eve approaches, The Woodlands Township Fire Department reminds all residents that The Woodlands Covenants strictly prohibit the sale or use of home fireworks and sparklers of any kind in The Woodlands Township neighborhoods. The Woodlands Township is situated in a beautiful forest, and one errant spark could severely damage the community. READ ON
