No Fireworks in The Woodlands

Fireworks are prohibited in The Woodlands

As New Year’s Eve approaches, The Woodlands Township Fire Department reminds all residents that The Woodlands Covenants strictly prohibit the sale or use of home fireworks and sparklers of any kind in The Woodlands Township neighborhoods. The Woodlands Township is situated in a beautiful forest, and one errant spark could severely damage the community. READ ON

Holiday Waste Collection

Holiday Trash and Recycling

In observance of the Christmas and New Year holidays, there will be no solid waste collection services on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, or Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Trash and recycling pick-up for the observed holiday and all subsequent days of the week will be delayed by one day. All services are affected—trash, recycling, yard trimmings, bulk pick-up and Simple Recycling (orange textile bags). Regular pick-up schedule will resume Monday, January 7, 2019. The Ice Rink Holiday Hours

Holiday Hours at The Ice Rink

The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center will be open for special holiday hours as schools let out for the holiday break. The Ice Rink will be open on school holidays, Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (open until 11 p.m. on Fridays); Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Christmas Day from 2 to 8 p.m.; New Year’s Eve from Noon to 1 a.m.; and New Year’s Day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The 2018-2019 ice-skating season concludes Monday, January 21, 2019. Christmas Tree Disposal

Christmas Tree Disposal for Residents

The Woodlands Township will provide free Christmas tree disposal this year for residents. Donated trees will be ground into chips to refurbish the forest floor at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park. Natural trees can be dropped off at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, between December 26, 2018, and January 7, 2019. Please deposit trees in the Christmas Tree Corral in the parking lot at any time of day. READ ON

Enjoy the thrill of competition by participating in endurance events from triathlon to trail running with The Woodlands Township! The Township's three signature races benefit and help fund programs and services offered through The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department.
