Village Challenge

Township Launches Tech Free Village Challenge

The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch has launched a new Tech Free 4 Me Driving Village Challenge, with a goal of helping to reduce the perils of distracted driving. The Village Challenge will run until October 15, 2019, for residents. SAFE 2 SAVE is a mobile app which encourages users to avoid using their phone while driving. Residents are invited to download the app, enter their Village Code and begin earning points for driving tech-free. READ ON

Community Tree Planting

The community will come together for the fifth annual Village Tree Planting event Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 8 a.m. to noon at Spindle Tree Ponds Park in the Village of Sterling Ridge. All ages are encouraged to help plant native trees, wildflowers and milkweed plants. This effort supports The Woodlands Township’s reforestation program as well as the Plant for Pollinators program that helps protect our native bees, butterflies and moths. READ ON

The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department will host Sunny Dayz single-day camp when school is out on Friday, February 15, 2019. The camp will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park. Space is limited, so register now!  READ ON

Bus Service to The Houston Rodeo

Township Offers Bus Service to Houston Rodeo

The Woodlands Express, the Township’s Park and Ride transportation service to Houston, will be heading to NRG Stadium on weekends during the rodeo, offering riders an opportunity to enjoy all the festivities without driving and parking concerns. Service will be provided three weekends during the rodeo: March 2 and 3, March 9 and 10, and March 16 and 17, 2019. The cost of round-trip transportation to the event is $25 per person. This is a special service, and therefore The Woodlands Express regular tickets are not valid. READ ON
