Incorporation Updates

At the February 27 Planning Session, The Novak Consulting Group will discuss updates to the incorporation financial model based on Board feedback provided at the January 23rd meeting. Other incorporation-related items on the agenda for the February 27 Planning Session include discussion regarding the pros and cons of incorporation, the Matrix Law Enforcement study, and questions submitted to the Incorporation website. Transition Proposal with Montgomery County
On February 12, 2019, Township Chairman Gordy Bunch presented a transition proposal to the Montgomery County Commissioners Court related to potential incorporation. Township Board of Directors Meeting

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a regular meeting on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 6 p.m. READ ON

The Board will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at 4 p.m. at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard. The meeting will be followed by an Incorporation Planning Session at 6 p.m. READ ON

The Woodlands Marathon - Traffic Alert

Traffic will be impacted for The Woodlands Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and 2K Races.  The 5K and 2K Races will be held this weekend, February 23, 2019, and will impact traffic in and around the race courses from 6:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  The Woodlands Marathon and Half Marathon will be held March 2, 2019. PLAN AHEAD AND USE ALTERNATE ROUTES, as the streets along the race routes will have closures and contra-flow traffic in order to accommodate runners. READ ON

Township Offers Bus Service to Houston Rodeo

The Woodlands Express, the Township’s Park and Ride transportation service to Houston, will be heading to NRG Stadium on weekends during the rodeo, offering riders an opportunity to enjoy all the festivities without driving and parking concerns. Service will be provided three weekends during the rodeo: March 2 and 3, March 9 and 10, and March 16 and 17, 2019. The cost of round-trip transportation to the event is $13 per person. This is a special service, and therefore The Woodlands Express regular tickets are not valid. READ ON

Youth Art Contest

Don’t miss the chance to showcase your creativity by competing in the Youth Art Contest at the 11th annual Spring Arts in the Park on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Rob Fleming Park, from 2 to 6 p.m. The contest is open for youths 18 years and under.  Submissions will be accepted through Friday, March 1, 2019, at 5 p.m. at The Woodlands Township.
