Limited Spots Available for Woodforest Bank TRI
The Woodlands Township will host the 16th annual Woodforest Bank TRI – The Woodlands on Saturday, May 11, 2019. The USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event will take place from 7 to 11:30 a.m. at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive. Athletes are encouraged to register now as space is limited and this race sells out annually. READ ON

May is Bike Month in The Woodlands
The Woodlands Township will host a number of activities throughout the month of May in celebration of National Bike Month. Bike to Work Day will take place on Friday, May 17, 2019, from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive. Bike commuters are invited to meet for refreshments and bike commuting information.
Bike The Woodlands Day, a family-friendly event, will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 9 a.m. to noon at Northshore Park. READ ON

Waterway Nights Kicks Off Summer Series

Waterway Nights, a free concert series hosted by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored by The Howard Hughes Corporation®, will return for its summer season on Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Waterway Square, 31 Waterway Square Place, The Woodlands, TX 77380. Waterway Nights is a family-friendly event and features live music from a variety of bands and entertainers from multiple genres such as country, rock and pop. READ ON

Incorporation Financial Model Updates
As part of the recent incorporation contract extension through 2020, The Novak Consulting Group will continue to refine and update the incorporation financial model. This work will involve adding information from the Township’s upcoming budget process to the model, including revised actual revenues/expenditures from the current fiscal year, adopted revenues/expenditures for Fiscal Year 2020, and updates to the Township’s Five-Year Financial Plan. This information will be used to establish a new baseline for projecting the potential financial impacts of incorporation. Updates to the financial model will occur through the summer and autumn as The Township engages in its annual budgeting process.
