The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a regular meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 6 p.m. The meeting consisted of several landmark announcements for the Township.

Memorial Day in The Woodlands

Celebrate the official start to summer at the annual Memorial Day event on Sunday, May 26, 2019, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Dr. The event pays tribute to all military service men and women who lost their lives while serving the United States. The festival features live music, children’s activities, strolling entertainers, and more. The evening concludes with a dazzling fireworks display, weather permitting. READ ON

Township Offices Closed for Memorial Day

The Woodlands Township offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 27, 2019. The Township will reopen on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. READ ON

Solid waste services not impacted by Memorial Day

The Woodlands Township reminds residents that all solid waste services in the community will occur as usual on Memorial Day, which is Monday, May 27, 2019. There will be no interruption or delay of curbside pick-up of trash, recycling, yard trimmings or textile recycling to residents on their regular service day, including Monday. READ ON

Law Enforcement Study Project Underway
This week, The Novak Consulting Group met with representatives from The Woodlands Township, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery County Constable Precinct 3 and the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 to kick off the Law Enforcement study. These meetings introduced members of the study team to law enforcement officials that serve The Woodlands Township, and provided a high-level overview of the study’s goals. The Novak Consulting Group will return in June to conduct additional field work interviews with additional Township staff, stakeholders, and law enforcement support personnel from Montgomery and Harris Counties.
