Earth Day GreenUp 2018
Saturday, March 24, 2018
It is a beautiful day for a cleanup! Join us as Earth Day 2018 marks the 8th annual community wide stewardship project for The Woodlands Township. Walk-up registration is welcome in a park near you on Saturday morning!
Connect with neighbors and the outdoors by joining or leading a cleanup crew bagging trash from the streets, pathways and streams. You gather your friends, and we provide the bags! Annually, volunteers remove the equivalent of 4500 pounds or 76 of our 96-gallon trash carts!
How Green is Your Village? It starts with you!
Important Details
Individuals, families, clubs, scouts, neighborhoods, businesses, places
of worship and schools are all invited to be volunteers. Pre-registration is
closed. Walk up registration is welcome. Participants will receive
a T-shirt and refreshments.
Whether participating as an individual or group, everyone must sign a waiver. Please print, sign and bring the waiver to check-in.
Volunteers should be
prepared for cleanup by wearing appropriate clothing - long pants and
closed-toe shoes/boot are recommended. Remember hats, sunscreen, mosquito
repellent and a reusable water bottle - we will have a refilling station at
the celebration! Gloves and bags will be provided. A limited number of
grabbers and vests will be available to groups that pre-register. A
limited quantity will be available to walk-up participants at each check-in
site.
