- The right hand, eastbound shoulder is closed from E. Panther Creek to Grogan’s Mill Rd. as part of the Woodlands Parkway expansion Project. This project has an expected completion date of April 3, 2014.
- The right westbound lane between Grogan’s Mill and E. Panther Creek will have periodic closures as crews use this lane to pour concrete for the piers that will support the westbound expansion lane. This work will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on days when construction is to take place.
This project, started in November, 2012, will increase Woodlands Parkway from four lanes to six lanes from East Panther Creek Drive to Grogan’s Mill Road. A third lane will be added to both the east and the westbound lanes eliminating the existing bottleneck at this location. The $6.5 million project is funded by the Road Utility District #1 (RUD) and federal dollars, managed by TxDOT, coordinated by The Woodlands Development Company and will be maintained by Montgomery County. This two-phase project is scheduled for final completion in April 3, 2014.
