As a special purpose district, The Woodlands Township does not adopt ordinances or operate a traditional building department. Instead, property standards are managed through community covenants and guidelines. The Covenant Administration Department oversees these standards by reviewing applications, issuing permits and supporting compliance with The Woodlands Covenants and Standards.
