Short Term Rentals

Short-term rentals in The Woodlands are residential properties rented for periods of less than 30 days. These rentals must comply with deed restrictions and covenants, which vary by village and neighborhood. Property owners are responsible for ensuring their rental activity aligns with local regulations and does not disrupt the residential character of the community.

To operate a short-term rental, you must:

  • Submit an application and sign a maintenance and use agreement.
  • Provide proof of insurance and designate a local contact person.
  • Follow all Township Covenants and Standards.
  • Renew your approval annually.

Violations may result in fines or legal action. Hosts are responsible for renters' behavior and must provide adequate parking.
