Board of Directors Elections

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors are elected at-large by residents to serve two-year terms. Board of Director Elections are held on Election Day each year which is observed on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November. The 2025 Board of Directors Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. 

Candidates in Ballot Order

Three at-large positions on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will be elected in the November 4, 2025, Board of Directors Election, designated as positions 5, 6, and 7.

Each office carries a two-year term, and all four positions are elected at large by voters in The Woodlands Township in both Montgomery and Harris County. Per the Township’s Enabling Legislation, a Director is not entitled to compensation for service on the Board.

Voting Eligibility

To vote in The Woodlands Township election, you must be a registered voter in the county of your residence and a resident of The Woodlands Township.

Voting Hours and Polling Sites

The Woodlands Township contracts with Montgomery County and Harris County to manage elections in their respective areas of the Township.

Montgomery County

Qualifications for Township Directors

To be eligible for placement on the ballot, candidates for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors must meet specific qualifications as outlined below.

  • 18 years of age (as of November 4, 2025)
  • Resident of The Woodlands Township for the past six (6) months
  • Resident of Texas for the past twelve (12) months
  • Citizen of the United States

Residents may be disqualified for the following reasons.  

  • Mental incompetence 
  • Conviction of a felony

The Township anticipates contracting with Harris County and Montgomery County to conduct the election and to use the regular County polling locations for the election.
