A Public Hearing on the 2026 Proposed Tax Rate will be held on September 3, 2026 at 5:45 p.m. at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands, TX 77381. A tax rate of $0.1694 per $100 valuation has been proposed.
The preliminary budget is now available for public viewing in accordance with the posting requirements of HB1522.

The session will explore the beetle’s biology, how the disease is transmitted, and effective management strategies to help protect vulnerable trees. Laurel wilt impacts redbay and other members of the laurel family, including avocado, sassafras and spicebush.
