Learn about a serious threat to trees and how to safeguard your landscape. Dr. Demian Gomez, Regional Forest Health Coordinator with the Texas A&M Forest Service, will present on the invasive redbay ambrosia beetle and the laurel wilt disease it spreads. The session will explore the beetle’s biology, how the disease is transmitted, and effective management strategies to help protect vulnerable trees. Laurel wilt impacts redbay and other members of the laurel family, including avocado, sassafras and spicebush.
