The Woodlands Township ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.79 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY BY $-1.80.

Learn how to tag monarch butterflies to track their fall migration patterns through Monarch Watch at Sterling Ridge Park and Ride. This field session will be led by an entomologist who will teach you how to properly net, handle and tag live butterflies.
Register in advance for a spot in one of our two field sessions on October 17 or October 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
All supplies will be provided including butterfly nets, latex gloves, tagging kits and sunscreen. Please dress according to the weather and bring plenty of water. Must be 16 or older to participate, but children may come to watch accompanied by an adult.
